No mere concept...

Certain "common" concepts which I believe to be misconceptions :
1. - that the idea of matter or energy are void of any inherent being and lifeless.
2. - that matter and energy be treated with great reverence because of misconceptions.
3. - the idea that the world around us is an "illusion".
4. - that life on this this planet is a result derived from "divine plans".
Possible arguments as solutions :
1 - Everything comes from the same place. We tend to have the arrogance to think that we come from a cold and "dead" universe and we're a special instance. Every particle in every atom is alive. Things get more complex as you build up from there to atoms, molecules and more complex compounds.
2 - Since everything comes from the same place; it's plain silly to honor certain material things above others. Honor all creation, it's not a mistake. Be humble...
3 - The reality around us isn't an illusion because - if something is painful - that pain isn't an illusion. the same goes for the beauty or pleasure perceived of course.
4 - We reproduce without the least concern of consequences - we kill one another, and sometimes we do that in the name of God and defense of our conceptions and ideas or worse, for the sake of plain old dogma. Let me ask - Where's the Divine plan in that?
Conclusion :
This reality we live in isn't simply just a "grouping of ideas".
Even profound understanding has a limit of usefulness in this world.
We stand between the heavens and the Earth, we are half God and half animal.
Our consciousness is what makes us different - let us all use that consciousness.

Hi, Bruno,
This blog entry triggered many thoughts in my mind, such as–
- When we (people in general) talk of God and Divine… do we have the same meaning e.g. God is omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, and has no beginning or ending?
- What part does man's free-will play in society or perhaps a divine plan?
- What is man?
After a bit of rumination, I ended up with the following:
- God (perfect) + creation (humanity) + free will (variable or wildcard) = Mankind as we know it.
Interestingly, the sum total of my thoughts echo your last sentiment, ”Our consciousness is what makes us different - let us all use that consciousness.” Surely, many people are using their conscious for the good of mankind; however, do you think there will come a day when we ALL use our consciousness for the greater good.
Thanks for the seeds for thought.
I've been giving some thought to your question Tony.
“do you think there will come a day when we ALL use our consciousness for the greater good.”
The short answer is no.
The long version is :
Hopefully, someday enough of us will decide to “row together” in the same direction.
Consciousness doesn't seem have much effect on matter one way or the othe, but it can alter other another consciousness and then a domino effect takes place for better or worse. And we're back to “Consciousness” once again.
In the end - consciousness is the key to leaving this reality and moving on.
So, I mean, yes of course! Someday we will ALL use our consciousness for the greater good, above and beyond concepts of good or bad.
YES! Thank YOU so much for being here.
Much Love & Deep Peace
BeLynn
